Established Practitioners

In order to meet the consistent high demand for our services, we are looking to recruit barristers to join this busy and friendly set. Tenancy applications would be particularly welcome from juniors of 4 to 11 years in practice (after pupillage) who are able to demonstrate experience of tax on the advisory and/or litigation side.

We are looking for excellent candidates either with a strong existing tax practice or the drive and ability to develop such a practice. This could include chancery or commercial practitioners with experience in tax.

Application letters along with a detailed CV should be sent to the Chair of Pupillage and Tenancy Committee, Richard Vallat QC.  Applications will be considered in accordance with Chambers’ Pupillage and Recruitment Policy.

If you would like an informal conversation in relation to Chambers we would encourage you to contact our Director of Clerking, Mark Rushton, for a confidential discussion in the first instance.

The members of Pump Court Tax Chambers are committed to ensuring an absence of direct or indirect discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race (including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin), religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. We aim to create a working environment in which all individuals are able to make the best use of their skills, free from discrimination or harassment, and in which all decisions are based on merit.

All applications will be processed in the strictest of confidence.
