Established Practitioners

In order to meet the consistent high demand for our services, we are always open to recruiting barristers to join this busy and friendly set. Tenancy applications would be particularly welcome from barristers who are able to demonstrate experience of tax on the advisory and/or litigation side.

Any perspective applicants would be able to show they have a strong existing tax practice or the drive and ability to develop such a practice. This could include chancery or commercial practitioners with experience in tax.

Application letters along with a detailed CV should be sent to tenancy@pumptax.com for initial consideration by Kevin Prosser KC (Head of Chambers), Richard Vallat KC (Pupillage Chair) and Mark Rushton (Director of Clerking). Applications will be considered in accordance with Chambers’ Pupillage and Recruitment Policy.

If you would like an informal conversation in relation to Chambers we would encourage you to contact our Director of Clerking, Mark Rushton, for a confidential discussion in the first instance.

The members of Pump Court Tax Chambers are committed to ensuring an absence of direct or indirect discrimination on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, race (including colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin), religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. We aim to create a working environment in which all individuals are able to make the best use of their skills, free from discrimination or harassment, and in which all decisions are based on merit.

All applications will be processed in the strictest of confidence.
